If I could simultaneously read and revise and edit all my books at the same time, I so would be doing it. I get so distracted by the others--not necessarily in a bad way, just in an "I can't wait to work on this more!" way.
I figure that I'm on vacation for the weekend, so I'm allowed to read whatever I want for fun and not edit, right?
And don't forget to subscribe to THE AMALIAD, to stay up to date on Authors!me. Or become a Patron of my work over on Patreon!
Yeah, being able to relax is priceless. When I finish a piece I usually take a few weeks off. It's gloriously refreshing.
ReplyDeleteRelax? I don't know the meaning of that? :)
ReplyDeleteSeriously, since August I've either been revising my own work, critiquing someone else's or writing Book #2.
But then again, I hate not having something to do. So it works for me!
I don't really like to take that much time off-- I like to jump into the next thing and keep working forward. I hate the idea of losing momentum, but a weekend here or there is nice.
ReplyDeleteOf course, if you don't relax you'll freak out and end up crazy. Relaxation is okay, in fact I'm pretty sure it should be mandated that over every vacation someone figures in a relaxing day. Don't go to crazy with the freedom, but enjoy it.
